Konkan Railway Corporation Limited
KRCL was incorporated as a public limited corporation on 19 July 1990 and obtained the certificate for the commencement of business on 20 August 1990. KRCL was formed pursuant to an agreement between Government of India (acting through Ministry of Railways) and the Governments of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Kerala. It is the first railway project in the country to be executed on the build, operate and transfer principle. The Konkan Railway Project bridges a distance of 760km between Roha and Mangalore.
