Founded in 1970, HUDCO is a Navratna Central Public Sector Undertaking and Public Financial Institution providing long-term finance for social housing and urban infrastructure. In 2024, it was conferred Navratna status and reclassified by the RBI as a Non-Banking Financial Company – Infrastructure Finance Company (NBFC-IFC). This shift enables HUDCO to finance a wider range of infrastructure sectors beyond housing with significantly increased lending limits.

The ratio in FY25 is 10.32x and it was 9.47x in FY24, indicating increase in the debt level of the issuer due to significant increase in borrowings of the issuer.
